The MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder..
right okay, so this moment of time I will do ANYTHING and I mean anything, to get out of writing about English novels and more onto writing about Make Up! So this is a late night post just to distract me from doing what I really have to do... (you'll get these a lot)
Sooooooooo.. onto the product, the transparent powder, aka my life saver. I CANNOT recommend it highly enough, this powder has been my 'go to' for a few months now.
MAC have described it as ~ A silky finishing powder that provides an invisible way to set
makeup. Reduces shine while optically minimizing the look of pores, lines, imperfections.
Available in one universal colour that suits all shades. Wear over makeup or on bare,
I couldn't agree more. I use this product on top of my makeup (bb cream/foundation/loosepowder) to give it a sleek finished look, which IT DOES! you know when you often put loose powder on, look in the mirror, and expect to see a transformation but you still look the same, after applying this powder my face improves by miles, It evens your skin tones, so even after the foundation application, your face may still be looking slightly blotchy and uneven, apply this product and it literally fills in the gaps, smooths it over and makes your face look flawless.
~~~ if you're going for a 'make up less day' this powder works brilliantly on top of moisturiser to give you the finishing look without looking blotchy, red, or uneven'
The powder is a white transparent colour, making it universal so perfect for any skin tone. It retails at MAC stores for £19.50, which at first I thought was a lot for what seems like a pot of talcum powder, but after using this pot for 3 months now, with still over 70% left, I think its well worth the price, and I will definitely be buying more.
ONE downside - the pot. literally the first couple of times I used it, I spilt the powder EVERYWHERE! you need to be ultra careful when opening the lid because it literally flies out, which is a freakin pain! I'm used to it now, so I usually sit it down on a hard surface and open it that way, wave it about in the air whilst opening and you're screwed! The powder is very light, even after applying to your face you will find it has applied itself to your clothes and your arm, don't worry, enough vigorous rubbing and it'll come out!
Also another tip, try not to add too much when applying, or it will make your skin very white, unless you have a good brush, (and I recommend 'Real Techniques Powder Brush') your face will finish looking very pale!
Now I don't want to be TOO biased on this product, and I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone, what product does? I would 100% say this is one of my favourites at the moment, i'm even excited to talk about it! (how sad).
tell me what you think about this product!
